Code Corporation's FIPS bar code readers employ a FIPS approved AES-256 algorithm to generate per session keys to encrypt data and a separate key to encrypt overhead communications ensure that the connection between modem and bar code reader is highly secure. The FIPS code has been optimized to provide line speed communications over the wireless link.
